That deed is dearest to Allah |
After a child becomes capable, his main responsibility is to take care of his parents.Al Quran and The hadith mentions the merits of a child who, after becoming capable, will give importance to the maintenance of the parents.
The real job for a child is to pray and serve his parents after he grows up.
Always ask to Allah subahanahu wa tayala for your parents: رب ارØمهما كما ربياني صغيرا
-My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.”!
Rabbir Hamhuma Kama Rabbayani Sagheera Dua is a powerful supplication Asking Allah to have mercy on your parents. The dua is found in The Holy Quran in Surah Al-isra, in the Ayat 24th which makes it a special Dua as there is nothing greater than the Words of Allah (S.W.T)
Dua Benefits
The benefits of reciting this dua are the things that this supplication is asking for which are:
It asks Allah to forgive Your parents.
It asks Allah to have mercy on your parents similar to how they had mercy on you when you were powerless.
The dua is very powerful as it came from quoted from The Quran
Abdullah Ibn Masud RA. said, I asked the Prophet, "Which work is most beloved to Allah?" He said to pray on time. I asked, 'What action next?' He said, serving parents.
I asked, 'What deed followed that?' He said, Jihad in the way of Allah. (Bukhari, Hadith: 527)
The ulama agree that if the child is capable and the parents are poor, then it is wajib for the child to spend on them. (Al Mughni, 11/375)
And if the parents are wealthy or the children are not able to, then it is not wajib to give maintenance to the parents. Although it is better in this case, even if it is difficult, continue to support the parents as much as possible.
(Taba'inul Haqayykh, 3/64; Raddul Muhtar, 2/678)
So the married woman's duty to her parents is:
1. Always behave well with parents and serve them as much as possible. I will inquire about them.
2. Will spend for parents as much as possible from their own money, such as dowry received, earned wealth, etc.
3. If you don't have the capacity and the parents are in dire need, you can help from your own earnings by teaching in the home environment or by doing some handicrafts or keeping business.
One can do something for one's parents by earning money from legitimate occupations within the boundaries of Islam.
4. A husband can be motivated to serve his in-laws with love.
Dua to Allah
May Allah give us tawfiq to all khidmat to our parents and grant us knowledge to know about islam as well as grant us jannatul ferdous And the last seek is the greatest seek to you than everything else. Ameen
