For the reason that Allah has ordered the servant to pray |
Allah Ta'ala has ordered people to pray to Him and ask for forgiveness. This order ordered him not once or twice but again and again to call him and ask for his forgiveness. Many verses of the Quran and many hadiths of the beloved Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, have mentioned these reasons for praying repeatedly.
Dua is mentioned as one of the acts of worship. Not only that, but one of the benefits of dua, or calling Allah, has been reported. One of them is that the only way to be free from all the dangers that have come into the world and those that have yet to come is to call or pray to Allah.
Allah Ta'ala has ordered us to pray to him with taqis in many places in the Quran. Allah hears the prayers of those who call or pray to Him and takes appropriate measures.
Allah says:
'When my servants ask you about me, then say that I am with them. When a supplicant calls me, I (without any medium) hear his call and respond to it. So let them respond to my call and believe in me, so that they may be guided to the right path.' (Surah Baqarah, verse 186)
The beloved Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, said that those who ask Allah for something, Allah bestows special mercy on them. He gave them the most cherished things: peace and security. It has been mentioned in the hadith:
On the authority of Hazrat Ibn Umar Radiyallahu Anhu, he said, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, "For whomever the door of supplication is opened among you, the door of mercy is opened for him." Of all that is asked of Allah, seeking peace and security is dearer to Him. Then the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, Dua is beneficial in the calamities that have come and those that have not yet come. Therefore, O servants of God! Make prayer essential.' (Tirmidhi)
Some of the topics of supplication to Allah or calling him are mentioned in the Qur'an-ul-Karim.
"Call upon your Lord humbly, and He does not like transgressors in secret." (Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 55)Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive to your call.' (Surah Hud, verse 61)Surely my Lord hears our call. O my Lord! Make me and my progeny establishers of prayer (one of the best supplications and remembrances of You). O my Lord! Accept my prayer.' (Surah Ibrahim: Verses 39–40)
Therefore, it is important for the Muslim Ummah to call upon Allah and follow the rules of Allah, not to get anything new but to gain peace and security in life and to be free from future dangers.
May Allah Ta'ala grant the Muslim Ummah the Tawfeek to call upon Him and seek refuge with Him in all matters by following His rules in the light of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Amen
