The importance of Islamic education in building an ideal nation.

Education is light.
Education is light.

The importance of Islamic education in building an ideal nation.

Good education is the backbone of the nation. A well-educated nation is the future of tomorrow. As long as human civilization is, so is the age of education. Because God has sent man as a wise man and a caliph. The educational system of the Ummah Muhammadi begins with the words of the Creator, read in the name of your Lord, who created you.

[Surah Al-Alak Verse 1]

The purpose of education is to create people with moral values. The Creator says about the work of the Prophets, who were sent to the earth by the Creator to lead mankind to live a righteous life.

It is He who has sent among the Ummi a Messenger from among them, who recites to them His verses, sanctifies them, and teaches them the book and wisdom. Although previously they were clearly misguided,.

[Surah Al Jumu'ah, verse 2]

At the beginning of the Islamic era, in the Middle Ages, and even more recently until the colonial era, the emphasis of Muslim educational institutions was on the Qur'an, Hadith, Sirat, and Fiqh. Along with this, sociology, political science, and all other sciences were important. What is said about the importance of education in Islam is not to be found in any scripture or sage in the world. The first words of the Quran are about education. God says:

Read in the name of your Lord, who created.

He created man from 'Alak'.

Read, and your Lord is great.

Who taught with the help of the pen?

He taught people what they did not know.

[Surah Al Alak Verses 1–5]

The educational system of Rasool (PBUH) was a unified educational system. There was no difference. Everyone had an equal opportunity to gain knowledge. Rasul He has given enough encouragement to educate his daughters.

On the authority of Anas Ibn Malik (RA), he said, The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whoever brings up two daughters, he and I will enter Paradise together. By saying this, he pointed his two fingers together.

[Sunan at Tirmidhi, 1914]

After faith, knowledge is the first way to increase the status of Allah. God says:

Allah will exalt those among you who believe and who have been given knowledge. And Allah is aware of what you do.

[Surah Al Mujadalah, verse 11]

The major contribution of madrasa education is the formation of honest and exemplary individuals.

People educated in Madrasa education play a historical role in preserving Tahjeeb-Tamddun, Kristi-Civilization, Deen-Iman, Izzat-Abru, etc. There is no precedent to mention the involvement of Madrasah-educated people in immoral activities such as theft, robbery, murder, adultery, usury, bribery, corruption, drugs, etc. After receiving education in madrasa, students do various public and private jobs, besides giving Friday sermons in mosques, waj mahfil, meeting seminars, and personally advising people to live honestly in the light of the Quran and Sunnah.

By listening to their advice, common people try to live honestly. Moreover, public and private madrassas are making a significant contribution to eradicating illiteracy among the children of many poor families and helpless orphans with the help of the wealthy. There is no room to deny the role of madrasa education in building an honest and ideal nation.

Acquiring knowledge of the basic 5 pillars of Islam and knowledge related to Ikhlas is also obligatory. Because acceptance of deeds depends on sincerity, It is also important to know about halal and haram knowledge, secularity, and riya. Because of riya, people are deprived of the reward of deeds. It is also necessary to know the rules related to jealousy and pride. Because it destroys these two actions, just as fire burns wood.

Knowledge of haram and kufr words is most important for today's times. Many people speak Kufr without their knowledge. That is why ignorant people should renew their faith every day.

Rasul is able to transform a barbaric and uneducated nation into a well-educated, well-ordered, and best nation with the light of education. We should also develop madrassa education to a level where it does not differ much from our schools, colleges, and universities. Again, bringing Islamic ideals and values in school, college, and university education to such a level that there is no difference between the Islamic philosophy and environment of Madrasa education. There is no substitute for practicing religious values to produce manpower with moral, ideological, and character integrity. This important aspect must be prioritized in the education system.

Islam is a complete way of life.

Therefore, it is a moral responsibility to provide proper Islamic education to the child. It is part of a prophetic work. If parents neglect to fulfill their responsibilities towards their children, they will be held accountable in the future. God says:

And the disbelievers will say, 'Our Lord, show us those among the jinn and men who have led us astray. We will put them both under our feet so that they may be among the lowly.

[Surah Fussilat, verse 29]

Narrated by Abu Huraira (RA). He said, The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Allah, the Exalted, bestows the knowledge of religion on whomever He wishes to do good.

[Sunan Ibn Majah, 220]

Islamic education is an essential means of building an ideal nation.

Therefore, we have to acquire knowledge, learn the obligatory amount of conducting our worldly life in a beautiful, peaceful, and Shariah-compliant manner, and act accordingly. May Allah Ta'ala grant us all the tawfiq to acquire knowledge and practice.
