Satan's methods to deceive people. |
Some of the methods that Satan uses to fool people are—
We think haram is not haram.
1) Making us believe that we are a good enough person and justifying our own wrongdoings as righteous deeds. For example, we think that there is nothing wrong with giving a bribe, because we ourselves are not taking bribes. And if we had not given a bribe, we would not have been able to get the job done in any other way. Therefore, giving this bribe is certainly halal. In this way, we start introducing ‘halal bribery.’ Similarly, halal interest, halal loans, halal insurance, halal lottery—many such things start becoming halal for us. Just as Satan tried to convince Allah with arguments so as not to bow down before Adam (peace be upon him) that what he did was right, similarly we also try to convince Allah with arguments that what is haram is not haram these days.
Prayer are not necessary for everyone.
2) There is no obligation in religion; religion is everyone’s own matter—to make us believe this. Only when we have faith in Allah is it possible. Religious customs are actually some formalities. Fasting and prayer are not necessary for everyone. If there is a disaster in the country while going for Hajj, who will save the family? What will happen to people by giving Zakat? They are no longer getting well after receiving Zakat.
Satan believes in Allah Almighty; we also believe in Allah Almighty. But the difference between us and Satan is that we act according to that belief. - Satan tries to remove this difference as much as he can so that we become Satans in human form.
Whatever we do, Allah will surely forgive us.
3) Making people believe that daily tasks like jobs, businesses, studies, etc., are very important and making them think that I have a contract with Allah, and Allah will forgive me before I die. For example, I am a doctor! I save people's lives! Surely I don't need to pray five times a day? I can save the lives of a few patients in that time. Which is more important? Praying or saving people's lives? Allah will surely forgive me.
satan create doubt in mind.
4) Always keeping in fear of losing money, property, or happiness. For example, a poor relative of ours came to us asking for money for treatment, but we started thinking, “If I give this man a few thousand dollars, my savings of seventy lakh dollar to buy a house will be reduced, and my house purchase will be postponed! If I lose my job tomorrow, then I will not be able to buy a house again. What if the price of the house suddenly increases a month later?”
Satan keeps forget, if you intend to do good deeds.
5) If you cannot do wrong by yourself, you can do wrong by making people around you forget and making them forget. For example, after many days of trying, you finally sat down to read the Quran today, but within a short time your husband or wife came and started urging you to watch a program on TV. Or you made a lot of arrangements to read an Islamic article, but before you could start reading, a friend called: Friend, let's go to 'yeah' tomorrow. It started with a half-hour phone conversation, then dinner, TV, and sleep. You didn't read the article that day. Then a few weeks passed, and you forgot about that article.
Will Allah forgive me again and again?
6) “There is no possibility that I will reach paradise. Allah will never forgive me for what I have done. I should just have fun for the rest of my life"—this is the idea that Satan instills in us, so that we never even think about repenting. Sometimes, we commit a sin, and then we feel we need to ask Allah for forgiveness. At the same time, a desire arises within us: “Oh no, what if I repent? Will Allah forgive me again and again? Later, I will do some good deeds, and my sins will be erased.”
He instills in you a sense of pride.
7) You might have thought of someone nearby while reading the aforementioned techniques, and you said to yourself, "So! I see that this is a fantastic fit for him! Satan is trying to implant in you the belief that none of these issues are your own and that they are all the faults of those within your immediate vicinity. He wants you to get busy correcting others, not trying to save yourself. He instills in you a sense of pride that it is your responsibility to save everyone around you from going to Hell. You are already going to Heaven, so before you go, you need to do some public service.
Let us learn from Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him): How to save our children and descendants from the Fire of Hell. How to honor Allah (swt), realize our lowly position, and surround all our good and bad deeds with repentance. Always try to remember: First save yourself and your family, then save others.
Believers, save yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is men and stones and whose charge is brutal, cruel angels. Those who never disobey the orders of Allah Taala but do exactly what is ordered.
(swt). [At-Tahrim 66:6]
